Plumsteel wins junior category at Rise 2 Fame

With only a few nerves Emily
Plumsteel took the stage at the
Western Fair's Rise 2 Fame
contest.
Plumsteel performed her
much -practiced "Everybody
wants to be a cat" for the last
time for the Rise 2 Fame judges
on September 20. She was
awarded the top prize in the
junior category of the talent
show.
At only 9 -years -old Plum -
steel dances like a veteran of
the stage. Along with choreog-
raphy by Jenna Andrews,
technique and control seen in
those years ahead of her gives
good reason for her win ear-
lier this month.
Plumsteel is currently danc-
ing out of Danceology in Luc -
know along with Ava McCutch-
eon and Ava Stoneman. The
trio performed a dance

at the Clinton qualifying round,
making it through to the West -

Each girl also performed a
solo and all three made it into
the finals.

Partridge also performed their
dance at the finals after making
it through the qualifying round
in Clinton.
The older category of the Rise
2 Fame competition was won
by Taylor Pollard with her
dance "Surviving':
Pollard, who is from Ripley,
also qualified at the Clinton
show in June. She also dances
out of Danceology.
