John Alexander Broadfoot of Seaforth, formerly of RR#1 Brucefield was less than a month short of his 101st birthday. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie 'Mike' (nee McEwen) Broadfoot (May 5, 2013) for 75 years. Loving father of Bob (Donna) of Seaforth, Mary Smith of Kitchener, Jack (Julia) of Thamesford, Jean Provost of London, Helen (Dave) Weigel of Macedonia, OH and Jim of Clinton. Cherished grandpa of 14, great grandpa of 18 and great -great grandpa of 11. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Elizabeth (nee Smith) Broadfoot, sisters Erma Broadfoot, Dorothy Townsend, Elizabeth Trefry, and by sisters-in-law Marion Laramie, Jean McEwen, Eleanor Runnalls and Bessie Boyd. Visitation was held at McGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Wednesday, September 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with an Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekah's Service at 6:30 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate John's life was held in the funeral home on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Hildebrand officiating. Interment took place in Baird's Cemetery followed by a reception at Brucefield Community United Church. The Pallbearers were Les and Mike Adair, Sandy Broadfoot, John Thomson, Ryan Underwood, Matthew Weigel, and the Flower Bearers were June, Christine, Sarah, Patti and Brenda Broadfoot, Kathy Hibma and Sherry Thomson. Beloved husband of Alice (Caldwell). Loving father to Catherine & Ron Beierling, Ann & Peter Bornath and David & Susi Deichert. Adored grandfather of Jenna (Tim), Stacey (Scott), Michael (Riley), Derek, Jelica, Kurt, Ainsley and Nicolaus. Survived by brother Glenn & Marlene Deichert, sisters-in-law Doris Hamilton and Joan Caldwell and brothers- in-law Clarence Stever and Ken & Margaret Caldwell. Survived by many nieces and nephews and by his special uncle, Albert Deichert. Predeceased by loving parents Peter and Clara (Thiel), brothers and sisters Vera (Clarence) Hohner, Bertrand Deichert, Almeda (Herb) Keller, Rose (Jack) Merner, Harold Deichert, Lloyd Deichert, Marjory Deichert (in infancy) and Virginia Stever and his brothers-in-law Robert (Pete) Caldwell and Gordon Caldwell. Fred loved gardening, cards, beekeeping and spending time with his family. He also celebrated 50 years with the Masonic Lodge. Predeceased by his wife Doreen and daughter Dianna in the UK. Harry will be deeply missed by Darlene and Tony Stashuk, granddaughters Patricia and Jennifer, great-grandson Tanner, relatives in Scotland, the UK, the US and his many friends. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private interment of ashes at Clinton Cemetery at a later date. WOOD, Julie Amanda - Age 44, of Clinton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Clinton Public Hospital. Born in East York, Ontario daughter of Verna Keast and the late Kenneth Lambert. Best friend and loving wife of Michael Wood, very proud mother of Dylan Lambert, David Wood, Jonathan Wood, Tamara Wood and Cassandra Wood. Julie is survived by her brother Wayne and his wife Kristine Lambert. Julie will be remembered fondly by many, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
