FOX, Thomas Earl - of London Ontario,
formerly of Clinton and Goderich Ontario,
passed away Sunday, August 16, at
University Hospital, age 73. For most of his
career, Tom taught history at Central Huron
Secondary School in Clinton, and served as
vice-principal in the 1980s and early 1990s.
Tom was a great high school history
teacher, a huge baseball fan who coached
the Goderich Seahawks, a junior team for
which his son Chris played, to two
provincial championships in the early
1990s, a time he later described as some of
the happiest years of his life. Tom loved to
travel, especially road trips, was an
enthusiastic amateur photographer, a joyful
gourmand, and an audiophile who loved a
wide range of music. Above all, he was an
authentically great dad who loved raising
kids, and a devoted husband, who gave up
the better part of a decade as primary
caregiver to his wife Carol as she declined
with Alzheimer's. He never moved her to a
facility but looked after her at home to the
end. He is survived by his sons Darryl,
Dennis, and Chris, Darryl's wife Gillian,
Dennis' wife Candy, and by his beloved
second wife, Alice Marie St. John, and her
extended family. We are all tremendously
proud of him and will miss him very much.
Per his directive, his remains were
cremated and no funeral was held. As
expressions of sympathy, memorial
donations may be made to the Colorectal
Cancer Association of Canada or Colon
Cancer Canada.

HILL, William "Ian" - At LHSC,
University Hospital, London on Friday
August 21, 2015, William "Ian" Hill of
Clinton. lan was born 65 years ago at the
Clinton Hospital and was the son of the late
William "Curly" and Ena (Johnston) Hill. He
was the beloved husband, best friend, and
soul mate of Lil (Colendres) Hill, whom he
married on November 1st, 1997. He was
also the loving father of Lian Hill, step-
father of Joseph Lagasca and grandfather
of Ian Joshua Lagasca from the Philippines.
He was the dear brother and brother-in-law
of Patrick & Alva Hill, Bruce Hill and Victor
Hill, all of whom reside in Summerhill. Ian
attended high school at Central Huron
Secondary School and pursued a paralegal
course through a correspondence school
while working. Ian was a hard-working man
with a variety of jobs. He bartended at the
Cloud Nine, helped at the Piano Factory,
worked at CAP Products, was a sales
associate at Zellers and Walmart, and most
recently assisted at Lil's Kitchen making
every diner welcome. He was an avid
reader, loved to watch old movies, and his
new favorite musical movie was Mama Mia.
He was a fan of Star Wars, Star Trek and
the History Channel. He also liked the show
Hawaii 5-0. He attended the Heartland
Community Church and was a supporter of
a few charitable organizations on behalf of
his wife Lil. Ian's dream was to become a
lawyer, though that dream never did come
through for him, he was awarded with a
much bigger "dream come true'; a loving
family, a dedicated wife, and a sweet
natured daughter. He lived a life full of love,
laughter and joy with his family and friends.
Ian's unwavering faith sustained him
through all the days of his life. He was once
called a "miracle man" by a few doctors,
and proved some other doctors wrong with
their diagnosis. His faith to the Lord was
strongest during his challenging times when
he was sick and weak. And now, the Lord
has welcomed him with open arms and he
is spending his eternal life in God's
paradise. We will see you again lan.
