Position openings include: one (1) full-time, permanent administration position, one (1) full-time maternity leave coverage administration position, and one (1) full-time, permanent position in the areas of human resources and administration. All three positions will require the selected candidate to work in VHS's Bayfield office, with positions commencing this fall (2015). Administration - Records (Full-time, permanent) The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the records team and responding to the needs of students. Duties will include creating and sending report cards and letters to students and schools, assisting with final exam set up and proctor approval, corresponding with high schools, post -secondary schools, and other institutions, and working effectively as part of a team to address issues, solve problems, and develop new efficiencies. Administration - Admissions (Full-time, maternity coverage) The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the admissions team in addressing the needs of students as they begin with VHS. Duties include assisting with enrolling and unenrolling students, administering course extensions, sending letters to schools and post -secondary institutions, database administration, and addressing inquiries from new and prospective students. This role involves working effectively as part of a team to address issues, solve problems, and develop efficiencies. Administration/Human Resources (Full-time, permanent) The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with various human resources functions and activities, including assisting with recruitment and onboarding of new staff and teacher hires, assisting with record-keeping and documentation, maintaining human resources information, supporting employee relations, and performing related HR duties. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in human resources functions. The successful applicant will also be responsible for providing administrative support in school operations part-time, based on the needs of the records and admissions teams. Candidates must demonstrate excellent oral and written skills, as communicating with students, parents, teachers and staff will be ongoing. Additionally, VHS's open office environment encourages ongoing collaboration among team members on a host of issues. Experience in a secondary school or post -secondary school office environment will be considered an asset in administration roles, particularly in regards to student admissions, records, and reports.
