All 15 schools in the Huron -Perth Catholic
District School Board participated in the
cross country meet at St. Joseph's in
Clinton on Oct. 14. Pictured here is St.
Joseph's student, Sarah Gionet, as she
runs down the home stretch.
An athlete to make Clinton proud is grade six Colton
Smith. Colton is a student at St. Joseph's who finished
his race flanked by three of his classmates. His mother,
Joanne Smith, shared this, "Colton finished his race
today, fourth last place. Three years ago we questioned
a future for Cole with muscle dystrophy hanging in
the balance but today our strong boy showed us just
what determination can do. Despite his body aching
and dizziness my son ran. He never gave up. I am so
incredibly proud of our son and the other boys who
rallied around him today."
