Maintenance and Property Worker
DESCRIPTION:
• Full-time position (35 hours a week) • Minor plumbing, minor electrical
• One year contract to start with possibility • Yard maintenance (lawns, trimming, etc.)
of permanent position after one year. • Supervision of move ins and move outs
• Provide maintenance and property • Ensure safety and security of residents
services to all four buildings owned • Maintain and update all appropriate

The Avon Maitland District School Board provides educational

in the counties of Huron and Perth. The central administrative office is

Health and Safety Officer
Functions and Responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Development, implementation, coordination and monitoring of health and safety-related functions, and
providing administrative and technical leadership regarding procedures and practices to ensure
pro -active compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations and codes;
• Coordination and delivery of a comprehensive health and safety training program for all employees,
including training for site teams and functional groups as required; and,
• Supporting the Safety Culture initiative through implementation of accident prevention and safety
awareness programs.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Minimum post -secondary diploma in the Occupational Health and Safety field or a related discipline in
the health and safety field;
• Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation would be an asset;
• Minimum of four years of related experience;
• Excellent working knowledge with all applicable codes and legislation;
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to conduct training
programs and workshops;
• Competent computer literacy skills (Word, Excel and database management); and,
• Valid driver's licence with access to a reliable vehicle due to travel within the Board.

Take Notice that tenders are invited for the purchase of the land described below and will be received
until 3:00 p.m. local time on October 29, 2015, at the Central Huron Municipal Office, 23 Albert Street,

The tenders will then be opened in public on the same day as soon as possible after 3:00 p.m. at the
