The big winners, of course, were the needy chil- dren and the Christmas Bureau who graciously accepted all of pajamas. There were well over 100 pajamas tossed onto the ice after the Radars first goal scored by Tyler Doig in the second period at 14:58. Tavistock opened the scoring at 14:12 of the first period with Greg Virgo beat- ing the Clinton goalie on a slapper from the slot area. Nother had no chance as he was screened in front of the net. Less than a minute later at 15:03 Paul Thompson of the Royals gave the visitors a 2-0 lead. In the second period the Radars took over the game as they came out playing a much better game. After kill- ing off three penalties in a row and at one stage playing two men shorthanded, the Radars leading scorer Doig produced a barrage of PIs to fly onto the ice. Doig broke in from the left hand circle and beat the Royals net - minder on a low hard wrist shot. Sean Consitt and Kur- tis Bartliff helped set off the toss. Three minutes later, at 17:18 on the powerplay, it was Reid Oliver tying up the score at 2-2. After some excellent pass- ing by Doig and Jordan Cur- rie, Reid was able to slap the disc into the top corner of the net. In the third period it was all Radars as they scored four more unanswered goals. At 12:29 hard working Bartliff was able to jam in the puck from the crease area to give Clinton their first lead of the game. Kyle Provily earned the assist on the play. Two minutes later at 14:19, Doig scored his sec- ond goal of the game. His high shot found the upper right hand corner with Shane McClure and Taylor Gosset earning the helpers. It was Doig's 13th goal of the season. Two empty net goals rounded out the scoring. Ryan Murphy with his league leading 16th goal and Currie were the recipients of the easy markers. Nother played another strong game in goal as he lowered his goals against average to 1.72. The Radars next home games are not until Dec. 4 against Tillsonburg and Dec. 5 against Petrolia. Both games are 8:30 p.m. starts. Anyone wishing to follow Radar hockey out of town, they will be travelling to Petrolia on Nov 27 and to Milverton on Nov 28. Both games start at 8:30 p.m. See you there.
