coaching for winter months

Great footwork and excep-
tional ball handling can only
mean one thing, the Huron FC
is back at it.
The club is based on the
FIFA -recognized sport of futsal.
Futsal is a type of indoor soccer
that focuses on tight ball control
and quick decision making. It
develops players through the
winter months so they can
come back stronger for the
summer season.
Huron FC also offers
high-level professional training
from coach Edwin Saraccini.
Saraccini is the co-founder of
the London Athletic Canadian
Futbol Club.
The club has decided to
expand that experience to any
players interested in developing
their skills. For 15 weeks starling
on Nov 5, eachThursday Sarac-
cini offers a clinic at St. Anne's
Catholic Secondary School in
Clinton. Open to both boys and
girls, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. it serves
children born from 2003 to
2005. Again on Thursdays from
7:30 - 9 p.m. players born in
2000 to 2002 can learn the sport
of futsal.
It's a great opportunity for
interested players to give futsal
a try, Annie Sparling, co-
founder of Huron FC, said.
The evenings start with a half
hour of drills and then a one
hour scrimmage.
Huron FC is looking for play-
ers born between 2001 and
2003 to join its teams. Since last
year they've almost tripled their
team roster from eight to 23.
