Nominations closing soon for outstanding citizen award
MPP Lisa Thompson
(Huron -Bruce) would like to
remind everyone that the
deadline to submit nomina-
tions for the 2015 Huron -
Bruce Outstanding Citizen
Award is less than a month
away on Nov 20.
Nominations can be sent
to lisa.thompson@pc.ola.
org, mail them, or drop them
off at the Blyth or Kincardine
constituency offices. Nomi-
nations must include the
name of the nominee, a
photo and a 250 word sub-
mission highlighting why the
individual is deserving of
recognition.
"It is hard to find anyone in
Huron -Bruce that has not felt
the impact of a selfless com-
munity leader or volunteer,"
Thompson said.
"I look forward to reading
the stories of more outstand-
ing citizens in the coming
weeks".
The award is presented
annually to people who have
made significant contributions
to their communities and past
recipients have included a wide
range of people from chairs of
local committees, to church
choir members.
