Obituaries Obituaries HURMAN, Lois Elaine (Storin) - July 13, 1945. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by her devoted husband Ken Hurman Sr, daughter and sons Connie and Doug Spiece, Ken and the late Lori Hurman, Keith and Kim Hurman, Shawn and Sherri Hurman, grandchildren Doug (Ashley) and Justin (Jen), Amanda (John), Nichole, Danielle (Jared), Jake, Samantha (Kain), Devin and great-grandchildren Jillian, Keith, Riley and Emma. Predeceased by sister Helen Spiece, Geri Hay, Bob, Bill and Ron Storin. Special thanks to Dr. Arvanti, Carina and the Paramed nurses for their extra special compassionate care. The former Ruth Straughan was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Ashley Jardin who predeceased her in 2005. Ruth was the dear mother of Donald & Dorothy Jardin of New Hamburg, Lyman & Carol Jardin of Port Alberni, BC, Paul & Crystal Jardin of Kitchener, Bonnie & Mark Garner of Fullerton, and Harold & Nancy Jardin of Belgrave. She was the cherished grandmother of eight and great grandmother of 12. Predeceased by her parents William & Elva Straughan, and her sister Anne (Clayton) Robertson. She will be fondly remembered by friends and neighbours in the Wingham, Auburn, Blyth, and Belgrave areas. In keeping with Ruth's wishes, there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Ruth's life will take place at Know United Church, Auburn on Friday May 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Knox United Church, Auburn or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
