Premier ad
To the Editor:
During the Ontario Provincial
election, last June, Iwatchedthe
debate between the opposing
political parties. As it stands we
have had the Liberal Parry in
power for over l0 years and there
has been scandal after scandal.
Nothing has stuck and I find this
very curious.
During the debates, the Premier
of Ontario, Leader of the Liberal
Party, admitted, on live television,
that there has been a "breach of
trust" by her government. This was
in regards to over a billion tax-pay-
ers
ax pay-
ers dollars being used to cancel/
relocate the two gas powered elec-
tricitygeneratingplants. This was
merely so the Liberal Party could
m
its to breach of trust
gamer two more seats during the
previous election.
Whatwas said willshock most,
but what I find incredibly shocking
is that the Premier of Ontario has
openly admitted that there has
been a "breach of trust," by govern-
ment, andyet there still hasn't
been any charges laid. The
charges, in my opinion, should be
at least "Breach of Trust by Public
Officer;' based on the Premier's
statements, if not "fraud, etc. There
is not immunity, out of the House.
What the Premier of Ontario
stated during the debate is:
Approximately 2:02 minutes, `:.I
want to address, I want to address
the issue particularly of the reloca-
tion of the gas plants. The deci-
sions around the relocation of the
gas plants that were made were
wrong...And there was public
money that was wasted in those
decisions and that shouldn't have
happened. And in the process the
public good was sacrificed to par-
tisan interests. ..But I know, I know
that people are still angryyou have
a right to be angrybecause,
because, there was, there was a
breach of trust between the gov-
ernment
overnment and the people of the
province:' End 3:09.
There isn't anyway anyone
could not understand that this is
an admission of criminal act, by
the Liberal Party.
I have waited, like all Canadians,
for charges to be laid. Nothing has
happened. This, like all of the other
scandals, have taken too long. So
why hasn't anyone been charged?
They have the Premier admit-
ting to "breach of trust" and in that
admission, she is fully aware of her
statement, as there would have
been discussions about what
exactly "breach of trust" means.
The Premier has not revealed any-
one, to our knowledge, so who
should be charged. In my opinion,
it should be:
The executive of the Liberal
Party (they would all be informed)
The entire Liberal Caucus
(meaning all Liberal MPPs at the
time)
All Deputy Ministers
And all party advisors
This is the onlywayto ensure
those who were involved are prop-
erly charged. And this maybe why
so many sitting Liberal MPPs
jumped ship before the 2014
election.
People have lost faith in the
police and justice system. The
investigation should be over; the
admission has been stated. If the
OPP are concemed that there may
be political ramifications by pur-
suing charges, they should tum
the investigation over the RCMP or
the Lieutenant Govemor should
instruct the authorities to press the
charges, as this has placed the
Crown, the government and the
entire justice system is disrepute.
Ontarians have had enough of this
pious arrogant disregard for the
rule of law.

More communication needed for Communities in Bloom
Dear Editor:
Are we in the know? No!
It is time to plant to beautify our
properties for our summer enjoy-
ment. Usually we have our own
colour schemes. We could
become excited as a community,
if the Communities in Bloom
Committee had posters and
handouts at our garden centre
and businesses throughout Cen-
tral Huron for our information.
Kudos to our Clinton Fair Board
on their informational handout -
well presented, in detail!
Realizing Communities in
Bloom committee is few in mem-
bers, any form of getting the news
to our community could be help-
ful. Many folks do not have com-
puters for social media. With our
aging community, many of those
adults have been great gardeners,
taking pride in their properties
and planting accordingly.
Central Huron scored well last
year in our trial run, and could
score better this year if we were
aware in which areas we could
improve.
Of several people spoken to
today, only one knows the colour
scheme of red and white, another
knew some competition was
coming, but where? Others knew
of nothing! One garden centre
would make a poster to help with
people's choices (willing to help).
My intent is not to criticize any-
one who volunteers, but to sug-
gest that Central Huron Commu-
nities in Bloom needs more
visible communication.
Apparently meeting time is five
o'clock, which deters anyone in
businesses or a family from
attending.
I am sure our community will
become very excited about the
competition, when they are in the
know! So, red and white - let's go!

St. Anne's shows at Bruce invitational rugby tournament

The 2nd annual Bruce Invitational Rugby Tournament saw 17 high school teams converge in Tiverton on May 12. Hosted by Bruce County Rugby at their Tiverton Sports Centre fields, the event brought
together teams from Bruce, Grey and Huron counties for short, furious matches throughout the day. The 20 -minute matches took place under cloudy skies and cool temperatures, with the winners
crowned at day's end. St. Anne's took down Kincardine District Secondary School during the first match of the day.
