The achieve- ments and contribu- tions of individuals and organizations were the highlights of an evening that included entertain- ment, a delicious meal, and silent auction at Holmesville's White Carnation. Chosen from a group of exceptional nomi- nees, the winners in six categories were: Cultural Event or Organization - Fare on 4/Blyth 14/19 Cultural Initiative Individual Artist - Kelly Stevenson Community Contri- bution - Alison Lobb Heritage Individual or Organization - David Yates Youth Award - Holly Cluasius Innovator's Award - Leigh Cassell The Warden's Award, presented by Warden Paul Gowing, recog- nized the decades -long community contribu- tions of dedicated vol- unteer Verna Steffler. Those in attendance enjoyed the musical trio of Mackenzie Crawford, Joseph Pavkeje and Aaron Need, and the accomplished chorale group "thatotherchoir" directed by Louise Dock- stader and accompanied by Sharon Johnston, as well as an energetic scene from Duncan McGregor's upcoming play at The Livery, "Crow Hill," adeptly performed by Susan Armstrong and Rob Bundy.
