REACH celebrates International Drone Day

Aircraft enthusiasts gath-
ered at the REACH Huron
Centre in Clinton on March
14 as the centre hosted a
special event to celebrate
International Drone Day, a
day that focuses on educat-
ing the public about the
ways in which drones are
used to benefit society.
120 teams worldwide took
part in International Drone
Day this year and Clinton
was chosen by organizers to
represent Ontario, Canada.
As REACH general man-
ager, Matt Lee, explains,
given its available indoor
space, the REACH Centre in
Clinton is an ideal location
to host the drone event. The
event is also an educational
one which makes it fit in
well with the core philoso-
phy at REACH.
As Lee states, the event
was a "big success." By loam,
he says, a line up had already
formed at the door as inter-
ested people were eager to
enter the exhibition.
According to Lee, next
year's International Drone
Day is scheduled for some-
time in May and will, once
again, be held in Clinton at
the REACH Centre.
