As a spe- cial event we hosted the District 8 (the counties of Grey, Bruce and Huron) Ontario Horticultural Asso- ciation annual meeting at Holmesville Community Hall on April 25. With a hall decorated in the 125 -year-old theme, there were arrangements of dried flowers, pictures in old frames and a cornhusk doll to greet the district del- egates. Our Clinton Society president, Michael Falconer, welcomed everyone to the meeting. Mayor Jim Ginn brought greetings from our municipality. Then the Dis- trict Director, Sharon Nivins chaired the day's activities. Our speaker was Dr. Kate Hazlitt B.A., N.D. of Goder- ich whose topic was Farm to Table: Reviving a Tradi- tional Food Lifestyle.
