The Me to We club organized a Run for Change, a five kilometre run around Clinton. The event was a fundraiser to support clean water pro- jects and a health clinic in Ghana through the Me to We organization. Some funds raised will also be donated to the Cath- olic Canadian Organization for Development and Peace's Nepal initiative. A $50 donation can provide water for a family for two weeks, 15 kilograms of rice to feed a family for two weeks and a tent to give shelter for up to three families. The event's theme was "Show your true colours': At each kilometre students sprayed runners with colour (corn starch and food col- ouring) to represent a differ- ent pillar of sustainable change. Kilometre one was blue for clean water, kilome- tre two was red for health- care, kilometer three was green for agriculture, kilo- metre four was pink for alter- native income and the last kilometre was yellow for education. Each participant was given a packet of colour and colour parties happened every ten minutes to celebrate. Principal Jodi Kuran said that the Me to We club at St. Anne's has raised approxi- mately $160,000 in its six years of existence with the hope that this year's Run for Change will raise $6,000.
