Fun, flirty comedy at Huron
Country Playhouse 11

She pretty much is a nut
bar, but you are going to love
Myra. There will be a pang of
poor Leonard but you are
going to love him too. Last
Chance Romance now on
stage at Huron Country Play-
house II is hilarious.
Daniela Vlaskaloc is
delightfully -disturbed as
love struck Myra Witzer. Her
nuptial clock is ticking and
will stop at nothing to find
Mr. Right.
Kevin Kruchkywich, as
Leonard is lonely and would
like to date but is skittish
when it comes to getting
married. These two actors
have terrific chemistry and
take the audience through
some tense moments laced
with hilarious banter. As
rationally challenged Myra
seemed to be, Susan Henley
is as quirky as Myra's outspo-
ken, no nonsense mother
Florence and therapist Glo-
ria. This versatile actress
also portrays Leonard nurse.
She becomes an audience
favourite immediately. This
show is pure entertainment
and in her Drayton enter-
tainment debut, director
Johnna Wright showcases
her ability to foster split-sec-
ond timing, impeccable
deliveries and rhythmic
paces as she guides this mas-
terful cast through a very fast

The play tells the story of
the 30 -something Myra who
is desperate to get married
and sets her sights on the
reluctant Leonard, whom
she "shamelessly pursues"
and wins.
That's where the fun
begins as the day-to-day liv-
ing sets in, love's first blush
fades and Myra discovers the
chase is more compelling
than life after the catch.
"Last Chance Romance is a
fun and flirty comedy for
anyone who's experienced
the ups and downs of love
and marriage," said Alex
Mustakas, Drayton Enter-
tainment's artistic director.
