Pinery Fall Classic is for Everyone!
Dear Editor:
You can't beat it - a morning spent in the
crisp autumn splendour of Pinery Provincial
Park, and the good feeling that comes from
supporting an important cause.
The Pinery Fall Classic, A Run/Walk to
Benefit Pinery Park, takes place on Sunday,
October 18. And you don't have to be a
runner to participate! There's something for
everyone in the family, from a Fawn Run for
the smallest participants to 2K, 5K and 10K
run/walks for participants of all ages. There
is also a lovely 4.8K trail run/walk that goes
partly along the beach (weather and lake
permitting!).
Take it at your own pace and enjoy the
surroundings and camaraderie with other
participants. Or, if you're the competitive
type, try for a personal best and get an accu-
rate official time, thanks to electronic chip
timing.
Best of all, your entry fee and pledges sup-
port education and conservation in our
beautiful park.
Please go to the web site (www.pineryfall-
classic.ca) for more information as well as for
on-line registration.
Yours truly,
Lori Szwarz, Chair,
Friends of Pinery Park
P.S. Our goal this year is to have more local
participants. We would love your help!

"I have cystic fibrosis but it makes me no different from anyone else. I have dreams and I, too, want
to live. What bothers me most about this disease is taking 50 pills a day and having to stop playing
to take care of myself. When I grow up, I want to be a nurse and help sick people. Thank you for
helping people with cystic fibrosis." Florence
