The Central Huron Council actu-
ally undertook a local plebiscite,
years ago, to determine taxpayer
feelings. But the results, which
showed a diverse set of opinions,
seemed only to place any decision
on hold. Little progress - some
would say none - has been made in
a 15 -year period of discussion that
began around the year 2000.
It is just too long. What might
have been affordable in the year
2000 will most certainly cost an
astronomical sum in whatever year
- well beyond 2015 any plan can
emerge or be acted upon.
