Huron County 4-H Leaders Association holds Awards Program
Lorri Ann Moore
Awards Co-ordinator
The Huron County 4-H
Leaders' Association Awards
Program was held on the
afternoon of Sunday,
November 22nd, 2015 at the
Seaforth Agriplex. In addi-
tion to the Awards Program,
4-H was also celebrating 100
years in Ontario. Green and
white balloons, a 4-H anni-
versary banner and club dis-
plays decorated the
hall. Throughout the pro-
gram several draws for door
prizes were made for both
the young and young at
heart. A Silent Auction pro-
vided an opportunity for
attendees to do some early
Christmas shopping.
Attending the program
were parents, 4-H members,
volunteers, award sponsors
and presenters. Huron
County Warden Paul Gowing
and Lisa Thompson, MPP
attended and presented
awards as well. We appreci-
ate the generosity shown
by both of them to take time
out of their busy schedules
to attend.
Many awards were pre-
sented -over 100, to 4-H
youth during this pro-
gram. Awards were pre-
sented for showing animals,
project books, judging com-
petition and crop entries at
the Seaforth Fair. Again this
year, as in years past, the 4-H
Melissa Veldman and Don Dodds presented Lucas Townsend with the TD Canada Trust Award,
Seaforth Branch, for the Top 4-H Plow Person. Lucas also received the Bill Leeming Memorial Award
and the Huron County Museum & Historic Gaol Awards.

program would not be possi-
ble without the assistance of
parents, 4-H volunteers and
all of those who sponsor the
program in so many ways. To
all of you, thank you very
much! Learn To Do By
