Radars maintain top spot with 7-3 win
n Friday,
December 18
the Clinton Radars
defeated the second
place Tavistock Royals to
the tune of 7-3. The
Radars remain on top of
the Senior "A" Southern
Division with a record of
15 wins and 2 losses. One
of the losses was an over-
time one to the Royals
earlier on in the year.
The Royals took an
early 1-O lead in the
opening period at the
0.09 mark with Curtis
Maracle taking the open-
ing faceoff and beating
the Radars devence and
sliding the puck past
Clinton goalie Marc
Nother. It was the quick-
est
uickest opening goal Clinton
has allowed all year.
Three minutes later at
3:57 Kyle Provily of the
Radars tied the score at
1-1. Provily took a pass
from newcomer Jerome
Jeffrey, playing his first

game as a Radar, and bur-
ied the puck on a slapper
from below the faceoff
circle. Tyler Doig picked
up the helper. About
three minutes later, Clin-
ton took a 2-1 lead at 6:32
with Sean Consitt finish-
ing off a beautiful three
way passing with Luke
Vick and Ryan Murphy
doing the assisting.
Tavistock tied the game
at 2-2 at 11:34 with
Braeden Shand beating
Nother at close in. The
Radars broke the tie at
14:46 with Mike Jarmuth
scoring on a booming
slapshot from the right
point. Kurtis Bartliff had
set up Jarmuth with the
slapper.
In the second stanza, the
Radars increased their lead
to 4-2 at 4:17 with Luke
Vick scoring his fifteenth
goal of the season on a
powerplay. Vick was set up
by Mike Jarmuth and Sean
Consitt. Tavistock cut the
Radars' lead to 4-3 at 12:46
on the powerplay with Jim
Lorentz doing the scoring.
Three minutes later at
15:26, while on the powr-
play, Kurtis Bartliff scored
his league -leading twenty-
sixth goal to give Clinton a
5-3 at the second intermis-
sion. Vick assisted on the
marker.
In the third period the
Radars salted the game
away by scoring two unan-
swered goals by Sean Con-
sitt and Kurtis Bartliff. It
was Consitt's and Bartliff's
second goals of the
contest.
Luke Vick led all Radar
scorers with one goal and
three assists. Barliff and

The Radars game with
Tillsonburg was cancelled
on Saturday night,
December 19 due to the
fact that Tillsonburg was
unable to field a team on
the ice.
