The rainbow of traffic, business
and Christmas lights reflect off
of the wet pavement in Clinton
creating a festive display, despite

With record-breaking warm
temperatures throughout the
majority of the month of Decem-
ber and forecasts for more of the
same over the next week, it is
inevitable that 2015 will be a green
Christmas for most of Southwest-
ern Ontario.
The last weekend before Christ-
mas did bring a light snow cover.
However, it did not stay as above -
freezing temperatures returned,
accompanied by rain.
Travellers, no doubt, will find it
easier to commute to their family
gatherings and festivities. There
have been murmurings at various
events that it just does not seem
like Christmas without the snow.
This has not stopped the resilient
local residents and businesses
from going ahead with prepara-
tions and plans to celebrate this
time of year.
Those who have experienced
past winters in this area are not
lulled by the unseasonable
weather. It is just a matter of time
before winter makes itself known
in earnest. Ski slopes in the area
are busy making snow in the
upper regions of their retreats in
preparation for the winter sports
season. In the meantime, the lack
of ice and snow makes for safer
travel for shopping and visits.
