Stephanie Monk wholeheart-
edly admits that she loves every-
thing girlie. She is happy to
share this love with her clients at
her business, Lash Envy & Spa at
her shop at the back of 19 Albert
Street, Clinton. Lash Envy & Spa
opened for business at the
beginning of October.
Monk and her aunt, Sofia
Brindley, owner and operator of
Her Majes-Teas Room, share the
space and are having fun run-
ning their separate businesses
while helping each other. Both
businesses embody celebrating
girls and women of all ages, cre-
ating beauty and making others
feel good and feel good about
themselves.
Having grown up near Blyth
and Auburn, Monk moved to
London to pursue her educa-
tion. She learned how to do lash
extensions through Xtreme Lash
in London. The remainder of her
spa education was accom-
plished through Elegance
School in London. Monk
opened up a spa business in
London three years ago at age
19, but missed home so much
that she decided to return and
has now opened at her new
location in Clinton.
Lash Envy & Spa offers vari-
ous services. Monk has done her
research and uses and sells only
the best products for her clients.
She believes in educating her
clients on cleanliness and the
benefits of the treatments
offered. Monk explains, "I love
to make my clients feel
beautiful."
Services available include
lash extensions, manicures,
pedicures, tinting, makeup,
body treatments, facials and
waxing. A Service Menu is avail-
able that gives detailed descrip-
tions and prices.
Asked how her new business
has been, Monk enthusiastically
replies, "It has been going fabu-
lous! I love it! This is a fun busi-
ness." Sitting on the stairway
that leads from the front show-
room where her aunt's business,
Her Majes-Teas Room is situated
up to the back room were Lash
Envy is located, Monk smiles at
Brindley as they say, almost in
unison, "We have a lot of fun."
Monk enjoys doing makeup
for proms and graduation. She
looks forward to doing makeup
for those who book the Queens
Tea Parties and Princess Parties
with her aunt.
Expressing her hope that
more businesses will come to
Clinton to set up shop and to
grow as her business has, Monk
reports, "Everyone has been
super welcoming"
Lash Envy & Spa is open Mon-
day, Tuesday and Thursday 10
a.m.-6 p.m. as well as Saturday 10
a.m. - 3 p.m. Walk-ins are always
welcome. Appointments can be
arranged for other times upon
request such as on Wednesday
mornings. Friday appointments
are not available in Clinton. On
that day, Monk offers her services
in a room that she rents at Orchids
Designed by Holly in Ripley.
Monk states, "It is going fantastic
