The Salvation Army Com- munity and Family Services office located at 32 Albert Street in Clinton is a hive of activity as Christmas food hampers have begun to be distributed to individuals and families who are finding themselves needing a little extra assistance at this time of the year. Each Christmas food hamper not only comes with all the necessary ingredients for a nice Christmas dinner including either a ham or a turkey, but also includes other food items. Over 160 people in Clinton will be receiving assis- tance from The Salvation Army this Christmas. On December 16, The Sal- vation Army in Clinton will be distributing Toy hampers to families that have regis- tered with them. This is a busy time of the year for The Salvation Army as they are also in the midst of their annual Red Kettle fundraising campaign which is their biggest fund- raiser of the year.
