ACW welcomes 88th annual Huron County Plowing Match Dave Flaherty Postmedia Network With only about a month to go until the International Plowing Match, local plowmen converged to the Port Albert -area for the regional event. The Huron County Plowing Match, in its 88th year, took place Aug. 20 and Aug. 21 at the farm of The Hayden family in Ashfield-Colbome-Wawanosh. In addition to the plowing compe- titions, the event also featured the crowing of the Queen of the Furrow, as well as a banquet to end the festivi- ties on Friday night. North Huron Reeve Neil Vincent, president of the Huron County Plow- men's Association, said itis one of the county's longest -standing traditions.
