It seems as though the April
showers have officially begun,
hopefullyleadingto the eradi-
cation of snow and the wel-
coming of all things growing
and green. Tonight is St. Anne's
Spring Coffee House. All are
welcome to attend for an even-
ing of arts and entertainment
from the talented students of St.
Anne's. The school has also
been running theChapelSeries
at the school chapel, a series of
events hosting guest speakers
for the students of St. Anne's,
including a meditation instruc-
tor, a priest, the director of the
board of catholic education,
and the students who travelled
to India for their mission trip
during the summer. The sec-
ond Lunch Box Social is also
returning to St. Anne's on
Thursday, April 16. This event
offers students a unique oppor-
tunity to bid on auctioned off
lunches, from homemade to
restaurant meals. All money
raised from this event will go
towards St. Anne's ongoing
efforts to support clean water in
Ghana. The school's Keep Calm
and Serve On campaign has
also been going swimmingly.
The St. Anne' Student Cabinet
has begun visiting local librar-
ies across Huron County, start-
ing with Seaforth last week,
reading and completing crafts
with children ages 3 to 10. The
event will also visit libraries in
Zurich, Exeter, Goderich, Clin-
ton and Wingham, all children
are encouraged to attend and
join in the fun. Our Spring
sports teams are up and run-
ning and we can't wait for excit-
ing season to begin. Congratu-
lations to our Badminton
players who brought home lots
of hardware.

Huron County chamber ensemble, thatotherchoir and
Blyth Festival Orchestra teaming up for performance
Classical music lovers are
in for a treat on Saturday,
April 18 when Vivaldi's
famous Gloria is performed
at the Blyth Memorial Hall.
This well loved work will
be performed by the Huron
County chamber ensemble,
thatotherchoir, and the Blyth
Festival Orchestra.
The Vivaldi Gloria is an
iconic work featuring choir,
soloists and orchestra. Anto-
nio Vivaldi composed this
Gloria in Venice, probably in
1715. The work features joy-
ous and uplifting choruses
and beautiful harmonies. It
is a work full of character
from the rush of the opening
chorus through the 12
selections.
The April 18 concert will
be presented by the
20 -voice thatotherchoir.
This chamber choir is a
well-known local ensemble
under the direction of Lou-
ise Dockstader of Goderich.
The group, with the unique
name of thatotherchoir, has
been together for more than
20 years. The members all
sing or participate in other
choirs, which is how the
name came about. Mem-
bers sing in community
choirs, church choirs, play
in bands, perform solos and
together as thatotherchoir,
have gained a following and
a reputation for their perfor-
mances. Members are from
throughout Huron County
and the choir has per-
formed throughout the
region in a number of con-
certs. In 2011 the choir
released an album of Cana-
dian works.
The choir is accompa-
nied by Sharon Johnston
