Important Notice to Owners
of Prohibited "Exotic" Animals
Registration is required before April 30, 2015
By-law 34-2015, known as the Animal Control By-law,
was passed by Bluewater Council on Monday, March
16, 2015.
The By-law requires that certain animals owned before
the date of the passing of the by-law on March 16, 2015,
must be registered with the Clerk of the Municipality of
Bluewater. These animals are described as "prohibited
animals" and are listed in Schedule 'A' of the By-law.
Registration is mandatory and free. Letters of request for
registration must be received before April 30, 2015 or
owner may be subject to an offence and fine, pursuant to
the Provincial Offences Act.
It is an offence to keep prohibited animals in the
Municipality of Bluewater after March 16, 2015.

celebrated Purple Day, an international
grassroots effort dedicated to increasing
awareness about epilepsy worldwide.

New hockey partnership forms in area

A new partnership in
hockey, called the BCH/
BBMHA, was formed last
month which organizers
have been excited to
announce and promote.
The partnership is com-
prised of girls from the
Blyth Brussels Minor
HockeyAssociation catch-
ment area and girls from
the Seaforth, Bayfield,
Hensall and Clinton areas.
The girls hockey partner-
ship will include nine
teams from five age
groups including one
Novice squad, two Atom
teams, one PeeWee team,
two Bantam squads and
three Midget teams.
As president of the
BCH/BBMHA, David
Burns, describes, "Our
committee is looking for-
ward to building on the
foundation that was set in
place this past season and
growing as an organiza-
tion. We have learned
many things over the past
12 months and we will use
that information to help
make the experience of
playing girls hockey in the
middle of Huron County a
fun and enjoyable experi-
ence for all girls that want
to be involved"
The Provincials are set
to take place from Apri110
to 12 in the GTA.
