Street almost five s' ago. Six months after Ken 4nd CherY1 Roth opened their• grocery gore, crowded aisles and cramped shelves 'in- dicated business was doing well and it was time for an expansion. Today, approximately, "three months from the store's fifth year in business and several expansions later, 1Cen Roth is expanding his store -again. This time, however, he's not just ' knocking down a few walls -• he's moving everything to a , new 9125 square foot store at a new, location at the south , end of Main Street they opened the store in Seaforth was simply 13ecause theY fejt the town could use another grocery nutlet, He attributes his success in Seaforth over the past five Years to giving the people what they want, ' 'I , think we offered service, better prices and selection," he said, The Roths have been working for the past seven Weeks to prepare the new gore for the May 15 opening: however, the new store concept began.befere. Mr. Roth, 30 years of age, said he started in the grocery business in Kitchener at the age of ,17. It was there, he said, he worked for Highway Market for five years and then managed a Knechtel store for three years, obtaining a good background in the business. 1. His wife Cheryl, who does the book keeping and any- thing . else that has to be done, Mr. Roth.describes as; "my partner and my right arm." Mr. Roth saidthe reason Christmas when Mr. Roth heard' of the new building's The move, he said, may be a• little premature, but he said he feels it is necessary. "We may be crazy with interest rates the way they are, but there are several benefits to the move."
