Payment act amended to assist
Amendments to the Farm allow for more flexibility in producers in cases of buyer
plans set up to assist bankruptcy in the future.
The changes in the act are
being made at the request of
the Ontario Egg Producers
Marketing Board, who also
asked for legislative author-
ity •to make payments to
producer -creditors of C.B.
Whyte and Sons.
The Burlington egg -grad-
ing station, which went into
receivership last spring,
owed several area egg pro-
ducers amounts ranging
from a few thousand dollars
up to 520,000.
