Each morning from 4:00 to 9:30 a carol sing took place in the auditorium. The children of the school had the opportunity to share the spirit with others in the community who are less for- tunate than themselves. Many of the boys and girls brought gifts to school and placed them under our Christmas tree. These gifts were later dittributed within the community so that every- one would be able to have a Merry Christmas. On Tuesday evening a Christmas Concert was held. The grade 5/6 class present- ed Dickens "A Christmas Carol" to a capacity crowd. Between acts the crowd was entertained by the kinder- garten class. grades 1, 2, 3 • and school Choir. We would like to thank the Conestoga College -students for their perseverance while we were preparing for this concert. With Mary Riley at the piano we had a very -fruitful carol - sing of popular carols. , Shirley McClure, an- nounced each carol, and asked for favourites. We sang "Jesus Loves Me," the one song which Ethel reacts to and tiappy Birthday! For little Lindsay And'ersOn. whose birthday was that day when she was three years old. Another young visitors was Erin Horbanuik four. These little girls were a great centre of interest to the residents. Reading - "The Attuning Of Christmas" by Betty }Wiley. Visitors present were Muriel McClure, • Shirley McClure, Mrs. Anderson. Mrs, Frank- Riley and Mrs. Bill Storey. After the program ' appeared a large tray of cookies which, with a drink of fruit juices, were much enjoyed by all. Thanks to these ladies for the wonderful assortment of delicious cookies.
