However, the owner extinguished the fire with snow and the call was cancelled. Santa Claus visited the Legion on Sunday and got a rousing welcome from a full house of children and a few adults. Prior to his arrival local talent presented a delightful show. After Santa handed out treats to the children. he travelled to the hospital and nursing home with treats for all the shut-ins It was a very busy day for Santa and a rewarding day for all those who took part. Legion bowling league held their annual Xmas party Friday night. The usual gifts, spot dances, and of course a delicious meal were on the agenda. The music was well accepted by the majority and a very good evening was had by all. Special thanks goes out to Joan Eaton the league's sident and her assistants for making it all possible.
