in the basement of Duff's
United Churdh.
The pre-school and
kindergarten class presented
recitations, songs and finger
play. Those taking part were
Susan Carter, Michael Craig,
Shannon Craig, Greg Fritz,
In the announcements, the
film strips are available from
theresource; 1981 is going to
be the year of the disabled.
The U.C.W. officers are to
be installed at the Sunday,
morning service, January 11.
The next Sunday,' January
18 the annual meeting will
follow a noon luncheon.
Stamps are to ,be left in box
on the church basement.
Mrs. Bean offered to make
up programs for the coming
year. There were 4 members
had perfect attendance this
year Copper months for next
year are June and Novendier
The officers will be the same
for next year. There is
Christmas Eve service
planned, Dec. 24, 8 p.m.
Next meeting will be held
in the afternoon, January 14 .
at the home of Mrs. Martin
Baan. Refreshments were
served bv the hostesses.

INSTITUTE CHRISTMAS
; MEETING
Twenty meMbers of the
Walton's Wornen's Institute
met for the Christmas
meeting on Wednesday
evening in the hall that was
prettily—decorated—for—the-
Christmds Season. All
enjoyed a delicious pot luck
supper. Mary Humphries
read a poem Dirty Dishes.
Business was conducted
by Marjory Rock with Ruth
Axtinann reading minutes
and giving financial report. A
date of January 15 at 7:30 at
the hall was set for the
Crewel Course.

Community wishing to take
the course are welcomed to
attend.
The hall board is to meet
and plan for work to be done
in the basement. This to be
brought back to the February
meeting as • there. is no
meeting in January.
Committees were chosen
for card parties into February,
Those on for December 30
are: Viola Kirkby, Alberta
Stevens, Annie Reid and
Margaret Craig.
It was moved that the men
could use the hall for cards
on the afternoon of the
euchres, as it would be
heated. ••
A short program followed
when Marjorie Humphries
read a poem, "What is
Christmas". Mary
Humphries assisted Marjorie
in a new form of .Bingo.

the World" was sung. Mrs.
Graeme Craig read the
scripture from Matthew 2:
1-12. Mrs. Glauser led in
prayer.
Mrs. Craig gave everyone
a candle and when they were
lit carols were sung. Mrs.
Glauser read, "The Legend
of Light", Mrs. Craig offered
prayer to close the
impressive devotional part of
the meeting.
Mrs. Graeme Craig
presided for the business
with a poem, "Here comes
Christinas" Minutes were
approved as read by Mrs.
Helen Williamson. Mrs.
Barry Hoegy gave the
treasurer's report and Mrs.
Hugh Johnston reported for
the miscellaneous fund.
