"0 To Be a Child Again"
was the title of the sermon on
Sunday morning at the
United Church. Rev.
McDonald spoke on how we
as adults become literal,
matter-of-fact, scientific, and
miss so much of life, whereas
children with their child -like
faith, imagination, and
spontaneity are able to re-
ceive and give so much to
Adults, with their literal
outlook, miss so much of the
glory and wonder of
Christmas which the child
with his child -like faith of
openess, receptivity and
ability to receive can have.
During the Service seven
child -fen were received into
the Family and household of
faith through Briptism; Tara
Lynn Ingram, daughter of
Sandy and Pam Ingram;

Hensall United Church
Sum' , Church School
students along with some of
their parents and little
brothers and sisters enjoyed
an old time Christmas Party
as the church Friday
evening. The , evening
opened with the singing of
Christmas Carols led by Rev.
Mr. McDonald and Joyce
Pepper at the piano. A film
"The Gift" was shown which
showed the real meaning of
giving at Christmas.
. The children discussed
with Mr. McDonale
following the film, what this
meant. The children, young
people and adults were then
divided into age groups for
games and fun.
The evening came to an
excitini climax when Santa
arrived and time was given
for each child to have con-
versation with Santa before
the candy bags were given
out. Santa also left enough
candy bags to take to the
Hensall Nursery School, a
gift from the United Church
Sunday School.
