suffered their '13th and 14th
losses ef the season and fell
eight full games behind their
nearest rivals in the race for
the fourth and final playoff
position. ;
Satnrday night they travel,

season and were trounced
9-3 by 4he Braves. The score
did not indicate the play as
the Centenaires, except fpr
the last ten minutes of the•
second period, played good
disciplined hockey.
Tavistpck took a 3-1 'first
period lead and increased it
to 9-3 after the second as
, they scored four power play
goals and one shorthanded
goal. ,
The Braves were led by
their big centreman Ted
Gladding who fired five goals
including three in a row in a

over the Centenaires before a
small hometown crowd at
Seaforth arena,
The game was a good hard
fought contest: which again
saw the Centenaires 'fail to
capitalize oh several good
scoring chances.

The Seaforth, Midget
Hockey Club played three
games in the past week and
came out winners in two of
them.
Last Tuesday night on
home ice they suffered a 9-5
loss to the strong Wingham
team. On Friday night, again
on home ice, they defeated
Huron Park by a whopping
9-0 score. Then on Monday
night this week they journey-
ed to Zurich and came home
with a 7-6 win.
Against Wingham the
locals fell behind 3-0 at the
end of The first period and
were never able to fully
recover. Wingharn upped
their lead to 4-0 midway
through the middle frame
but Seaforth bounced back
with two quick goals to cut
the lead to 4-2. Before the
second period ended each
team scored once more to
make the score 5-3 in
favour of Wingham.

held off a four goal barrage
by their opposition to post a
7-6 win.
