CHRISTMAS AROUND
THE WORLD
In the Philippines clocks
are striking one. Christmas
Day has begun and through
the warm, flower-scentectr.

is seven a.m. in wintry
Alaska, where children
tumble from warm beds to
see what Santa Claus has left
them. Along the east coastof
the United States, it is noon.
