Guests arc welcome in my home • at least. the two -legged kind are. I , even opened my door to a four -legged one, shaggy but house-broken. But. when the numer of legs climbs to eight. I draw the line. A place for everything, and everything in its place. Nevertheless my place is here midst all the confusion. The place for „spiders is outside. Sure its cold out there. but that's noirny problem. If a spider dares to crawl into my domain. he'd better be prepared to run for his life. I though cold weather would spell the end of them. Unfortunatley they seem to think my plancy is a warm autumn haven. They amaze me with their Houdini acts. slipping through the tiniest of cracks under doors or hiding in the corner of a doorstep until someone opens the door. Their speed can be surprising. Once inside they seem to swell to three times their sire as they boldly case the joint. • Spiders are mysterious and hard working creatures. The webs they weave are almost works of art.
