Itis au acknowl dged fact that no
play that has ever een produced in this
country has got so lose to the hearts of
the great reading blies as this homely,
droplet story. Theenot, which is known
to all who have se the piece, is as foll-
ows: Lachlan Ca upbell, whose home
and lite are contrieled by the sternest
religion, turns his motherless daughter
out upon discoverieer what he thinks is a
sinful love for Lon Donald Hay, Re-
morse follows, and n agony he oriel out
for his lost "bairn.' His great love for
her overcomes his eigotted views, and
when at last his d Otter returns as the
acknowledged wit of Lord Hay, he
realizes hie mistake in the past and takes
her to his heart aga n. The scenic en.
framement is the s me beautiful repre-
sentation of 800tCa glens and cottages

photographs and s atches of the exact
