MRS. MARG HULLEY
527-1856
sold their home in Winthrop
to Mr: and Mrs. Charles
Storey,, St. Marys who take
immediate possession.
A few of the Wilson's
friends met at the home of
Jim .and Anne Bosman,
Frid4'night to bid Ben and
Elsie , 'farewell. Euchre was
onjoyLkl, Prior to lunch. the
following farewell verse was
read.
Dear Ben and .Elsie:
'Winthrop was a pleasant
spot,
. Where life just rambled on
The community folk, a
humble lot
A carefree happy throng;
But that was several years
ago
Before Wilson's moved
in town.
We soon found Ben was a
beggar to go
And Elsie never sat down.
They ploughed the snow
and cut the erass
Did landscaping on the
side
They sawed the wood.
even pumped the gas
And took the mail out for a
ride.
They served the meals and
dug some drains,
Did plumbing now and
then. .
And with handsaw and
hammer and two super
brains.
They started building
again.
At first we thought they'll
soon wear down.
sie
They just can't stand the
peed
But it soon became appar-
gut jri__Winthroplowit
We better pay them
heed.
The ladies you ,see
admired dear Ben.
We fellows had to change our
ways.
And work like heck to keep
up to them
It _TA& nightmares of our
days.
But the shoe also fit
other foot
For Elsie as she toiled'
Stayed prim and tidy and the
horns did toot
-Anti the neighbour women

the
But now we hear you're
moving away
Tho' we'll never be the same
For now we can't sleep in on
a working day
We have to uphold our name.
We mow the grass and cut
the weeds
Like we should have done
before
To keep up to Wilsons and
pay good heed
To our mates who might ask
for more.
Now if Winthrop had never
set eyes on you
Tho' were dragging our seat
behind.
We would not be keen and
tidy too
And we would not have
worked till were blind.
But don't believe a thing of
what you've heard
We didn't mean it all
We're just dar a sad to hear
the word
And it's better to joke than
We wish' you well with all
our hearts
You're a very special pair.
And whenever you're back in
these parts
Walk in and pull up a chair.
For God who makes the
thistles grow
Brought our paths to cross in
life,
And Ben and Elsie we want
you to know,
We think that was r?al nice.
Tracy and Tina Bosman
presented Ben and Elsie with
a ceramic Christmas tree and
a flower arrangement.
Ben and Elsie thanked
everybody there. Lunch was
served and a social hour
enjoyed.
Anne showed her display

very lovely pieces.
