Just as the daily routine can appear humdrum, without pride or hope, so the birth of our Saviour was apparently a common place occurrence. But it brought a great light and a great hope. God so !oyes everyone and Jesus gave Him a supreme per- sonality. So God comes to us at Christmas. giving us light and hope through our Communion with Him. His spirit is in us. Wayne Scotchmer lit the first Advent candle to re- present the Primary Sunday School. The Children's message was about a light in the window. A beautiful anthem "Ave Verum" by Mozart (Jesus Word of God incarnate) was sung at the start of the Communion seriice. Dr. Ralph Tapp officiated at the organ and canducted the choir.
