LIONESS On Monday, Dec. 6th the Vanastra & District Lion- ess Club will. be holding_ a Turkey Bingo at the Vanastra Rec. Centre at 8 p.m. The admission is restricted to 16 yr 4 and older. There will be 15 regular games and three share the wealth. There are still a few tickets for the social tea to be held on Saturday, Dec. 13th at the Vanastra Recreation Centre. Guest speaker will be Vera McNichol. Admission is re- stricted to 16 yrs. of age and older. The Lioness will hold their dinner meeting on Thurs. Dec. 4th. VANASTRA EEC CENTRE All testing for switrinairig lessons has been completed and the new session of classes will be starting again in Jannary '81. There will be regular recreational swims as well as a special Christmas break swims in the after- noons from 3:00-4:30 p.m. A special youth activity pro- gram for ages 10 to 15 yrs. is going to be started. There will be activities in the gym for volleyball and bask- etball as well as pool activi- ties and use of the fitness room. They will meet Mon- day and Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Cost is .50 per evening. Contact Cindy at 482-3544 to register. LIONS CLUB Last Friday evening the Vanastra Recreation Centre was the scene of the Annual Vanastra & District Lions Christmas dance. The mtfsic was performed by a versatile group named "Spirit". The band kept the dancing flow- ing till I a.m. A hot turkey dinner with all the trimmings rounded off the evening. The Lions Club also enter- ed their float in the Goderich Santa Parade on Saturday afternoon. Thank you to all the parents. kids.
