William John ,Thamer of Walton died in the, Winghant and District Hospital on Wednesday; November 20 in his 70th year. • He is ,survived by Ids we, the fernier Ruth Canipbell and fou daughters, Paulette (Mrs. Alex Gultitzen) of 12,1e. 2,. Blyth; Shirley (Mrs. Volker flettlein), of London; Judy (Mrs. Clinton Etimrich) of Walton; Ruthie of Woodstock; and one son,' John of Calgary. Also surviving are eight grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters, Mrs. James •(Lattra") t White of GoderlehL Mrs, ' Gor4911 (Gertrude) Reis of Goderichl Mrs: Albert (Bella) Debus of Btunner and Miss 'Pearl Mauler of Hatronview, in Clinton. Funeral services were held from the Brussels chapel of the M.L. Watts Funeral Home on Saturday, November 29. Burial followed in Brussels cemetery. Pallbearers were: .Percy Dalton, Fred Waltham, Ralph McNichol, Ian Wilbee, George Taylor and Harvey McClure. Flower bearers. A.J. McKAIG Angus J, McKaig, 74, of Cromarty, died Wednesday, . at his home •Born in Hibbert Township, he was a son of the late James McKaig And former Florence Johnson. He resid- ed in Hibbert Township until moving to Cromarty 36 years "ago. ' Surviving are one brother, Calder, of Cromarty; one sister, Mrs. Donald (Chris- tina) Smith, of White Rock, B.C.; also three nieces. He was predeceased by one brother, William, 1973. Friends were received at the Heath -Leslie funeral Home, Mitchell, where ser- vice s were held 2 p.m._ Friday. Burial followed in Staffa cemetery. WILLIAM J. BENNEW1ES William J. Bennewies of R.R. 1, Bornholm, Ont. died at the Stratford General Hospital on Friday in his 96th year. He was born at Lot 1 Con. 9 of McKillop Township on April 16, 1885, a son of the late Ernest Bennewies and the former Julia Schrpder; On June 15, 19161 he Was married to the former Freda Kahle who survives. He had farmed at Lot 1, Con. 9 of McKillop Township most of his life. Be was -a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Brodhagen and had served on the Church Council, Suriviing besides, his wife are three song; Harvey of Kitchener, Ivan a Logan Towhship and Fred a Mc- Killop Township; two daugh- ters, Mrs. Alvin (Ellen) Schellenberger of Mitchell and Mrs. Vera Pehlke of Monkton; 15 grandchildren. and I 1 great grandchildren, He was predeceased by two sons, Lloyd and Roy and one grandson Roger Pehlke (1980). He was the last survivingmember of -his-- immediate family, having been predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. Friends were received at the Lockhart Funeral home in Mitchell until noon Mon- day when transfer was made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brodhagen for the funeral service with Rev.
