Reporting for the property
committee, Trustee Mickey
Vere of Clinton said that the
committee had authorized
work amounting to '
$44,243.40 leavking a balance
of $3,606.60 in the property
budget.`This balance will be
used for painting during the
-Christmas break, he Said.

$4,173; roofing $6,879; and
converting to gas from oil at
the board office. Mr. Vere
said that conversion t� gas
was in progress at St. Mary's
school, Goderich.
Trustee John O'Drowsky
of St. Mary's commended
tfile property committee for
"preventive" maintenance
which helps 6 keep down
major repair work.
Edward Rowland, co-
ordinator of plar t and ass-
essment. answering a ques-
tion on vandalism, stated
that there had been no
break-in's at the schools, just
breakage of quite a few
windows. At Precious Blood
School, Exeter, he :eported
"a guy was gun happy and
shot out half of the windows.'
Two conferences will be
„Jield for newly elected trus-
ts. The Ontario School
tustees Council will hold
one in Toronto January 22,23
and 24. The,Ontario Separate
'chool Trustees Association
will hold one in Toronto on
January 9, 10 and 11, which,
deals ith those issuesfac-
ing cattkolic schools.
The next meeting will be
the inaugural meeting. Dec-
kniber 1 at 8 p.m. The
