Spending the day in Hensall, Dr. Knight spoke at the morning service and through his coloured slides, at the evening service, of ' how God has used him and. Mrs. TCnight, 'to bring the message of the Gospel to the people of Angola and Zaire, Dr. Knight spoke of how the Love of Christ "The Love vvhiCh draws us in and drives us out" has been behind his almost 35 years of - Missionary work -if -1 Africa. - Dr. Knight, born int Port Carling, Ontario, is a graduate of the Ontair9 Agricultural College at Guelph, and went to Angola in 1946 to work as an agricultural Missionary. Dr. Knight became the Director of the Currie In- stitute of the Dondi Mission but his real concern was with the village people, the uneducated and ordinary folic. Dr. and Mrs. Knight, alone with their three children,' moved out into the villages with their people and lived in grass roofed houses and taught the people how to grow things, to irnprove their crops and their livestock as well as to establish clean, unpolluted water supply. Dr. Knight became very con- cerned about the oppression of the African people under thb-Patu-g-tide GoVerti-trient--- Seeing them abused, down- trodden and exploited, he Hiving already learned three langtiages. they now had to learn two more. Dr. Knight also told of how he goes through the garbage looking forold bicycle wheels which he has made into bicycle wheel hoes, a little machine that will serve as both a planter and a weeder, was told to Tlay and not to say anything, but in 1964 he felt he had to sneak out and while homeon furlough he was not allowed a visa to return to Angola. The Knights then headed for the Congo, now Zaire. Filling Christmas orders "Let Me Be Worthy" was the choir's anthem at the Sunday morning service. The Residents are looking forward to next Sunday when there will be a 20 male choir from Blyth in attendance. At seven Sunday evening the Christian Reform Choir sang in the chapel. We were pleased that so many of the Residents attended the service, and to hear the choir: We enjoyed the music of Molly Cox assisted by Mrs. Alberta Driver playing her violin, at the Old Tyme Music programme on Monday afternoon. Mr. Archibald conducted a woodworking class on Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon ceramics were painted in the craft room. The Residents are busy trying to fill their orders for Christmas. At the birthday party on Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Gladys Van Egmond at the piano. Elgin Nott playing the violin, and Hugh Hodges playing the guitar provided the . afternoon's enter- tainment. Little Wendy Watson did some tap dancing for the Residents. Mrs. Elsie Henderson took over on the piano and Mrs. Van Egmond took up thd violin and played alone with the. men. Mark Sproat thanked the entertainers on behalf of the residents. Cup- cakes made by the Goderich Women's institute were served at the end of the programme. Mrs. Prouty was here on Thursday afternoon to hold Bible Study in the Chapel. Huronview extends sympathy to the families of Max Wedlock, and Russell Bradshaw. ARNOLD J.
