On July 12, 1980, Julie Anne Bell and Ortwin Walter
Groh were united in marriage at Northside United
ChtIrch, Seaforth. The bride, given by her parents,
Neff and- Edna Bell, was attended by Brenda Papple,
Laurie Barron, Carol Cerniuk, and Nancy O'Shea. The
groom was attended by Gerhardt Groh, Lee Bell, Henry
Bendel, and Gerhard Benesch. Guests from across
Canada and as far as Yugoslavia attended the wedding.

report on our adopted child
in Burma Unit 1

1 p.m. The Unit also has
devotional for the General
Meeting Dec. 1st. Members
were reminded to bring
homemade candy, cookies
for the Christmas boxes to be
packed. A discussion on the
project sending seeds to
Africa to which all agreed.
Under the leadership of
Audrey Jura the different
view paints on the sexuality
report which was one of the
reports initiated at time
General Council were
discussed. Rev. S. McDonald
presented a film "Now I Lay
Me Down To Sleep." the
Theme "Death and Dying"
after which Rev. McDonald
asked the group to under.

EDITH POWELL
Edith A. Powell. 68. of
RR 2 Seaforth. died Thurs-
day .at Seaforth Community
Hospital.
Born in Tuckersmith
Township. she was the for-
mer Edith Aileen Rice. a
daughter of.the late Mr. and
Mrs. Rodger Rice.
She was a member of the
Egrnondville United Church
and active in the women's
organizations in the church.
She was also a member of the
Seaforth Women's Institute.
Surviving are her hus-
band. John Powell: three
sons. Scott A. of Burford.
Ray R. of London. Winston
C of Seaforth: one brother,
Jack Rice. of Toronto: one
sister. Bessie Charters. of
Kippen: and two grandchild-
ren. She was predeceased by
one son in infancy and one
brother. Harold. -
Friends were received at
the Box Funeral iionie.
Seaforth. where a service
was held at 2 p.m Saturday
Dr. R.G. Hazelwood offi-
ciated and burial foikrx-ed in
Maitlandbank Cemetery
