YOU MADE IT POSSIBLE
Although the Hensall & District Community Centre facility
has been operational since the summer of '78, it wasn't until
mid 1980 that the wheels of fund raising Came to a halt when all
the funds required to offset construction costs had been raised.
This is a facility ihe citizens of this area can be proud of as
it's one of the finest facilities of its kind in southwestern
Ontario, built entirely without tax dollars, and which was all
made possible through your generous donations, a Province of
Ontario capital grant and Wintario proceeds summarized as
follows:
TOTAL CONSTRUCTIONS COSTS including surplus funds of
52.541 36 for capital improvements S740,718.42
WHERE THE MONEY CAME FROM
CASH & ITEMS DONATED $196,015.59
CAPITAL GRANT. Minister of Culture
& Recreation 150,000.00
WINTARIO 394,702.83
TOTAL PROCEEDS

It would be impossible to single out any particular groups or
individuals who gave -more than their fair share, either in cash
or in leadership and work So - to all area residents and
