PENGUINS 5 BRUINS 3
It took five long weeks but
the Penguins finally won a
hockey game last Sunday.
The Pens skated to a morale
boosting 5-3 triumph over a
.short-handed Bruin club.
The win also helped prove
that the league is veri close
this year with only four
points separating the last
place Penguins and the front
runners.
Peter IWartene paced the
winners' attack by scoring
two goals. Single scores went
to Gard O'Dwyer, Jim Mc-
Leod and Dave Lengstaff.

For Huar,'d, it was his first
regular season goal since
switching ftom•goaltender.to

He did score a playoff goal a
couple of seasons back but
this one has a little more
meaning for the big blue -
liner. .
What the league doesn't
need is to have the Hawks
unleash another scoring def-
enceman.
Dale Kennedy and Mike
