game of football but it
doesn't sink into my head
why they don't wear gloves
or carry a stick. Running into
someone and bashing their "
teeth in, just so that someone
can catch a ball and run down
a field?
Recently the students at
SDHS have been playing
intermural football. The boys
could play and win a game
and understand every move
being played. Sure, there
were lots of girls who knew
what they were doing but
then there was me, and other
girls such as myself running
around the field wondering
what to do next.
Of course we found out
quickly enough when the ball
was thrown to us and other
girls started running at us if
we caught it. The only thing
to do is to run, but what now?
the other way? OK let's try it
again. So you run the other
way, like a little kid playing
tag trying hopelessly not to
get caught. Dodging in and
out between the opposing
Phoenix players, Taurus gets
another touch down! Un-
fortunately. that has never
happened to me yet but there
will be Another season next
year.
FUNNY NAMES
Something else about
football that has never made
much sense to me are the
funny names teams u.se.
Why would the Toronto
Argonuto not be the Toronto
Organauts? Often I say
something about the Toronto
Organauts and everyone with
me either laughs or Walks the
other way. The Hamilton
Tigercats is another one that
1 can't understand. Fver.one
knows that a tiger is orrie•
what the same as a cat so
why not just call them the
Tigers? Dr. Scholl's (for the
fool in football) Shakers
would be a much more

We arrived home again
right when a game was going
into oiter time with a score of
7-7. The ,whole family, in-
cluding me, ran into the
house as last as our legs
could take us, into the living
room and watched the re-
mainder of the game. To the
disappointment all, even me.,
we watched the kstros

someone told me I can't be

will be football,
As soon as the World
