The Jackson Award (Mary
Jackson Hinton was an Sea -
forth Collegiate ' Institute
graduate) will go annually te
a student entering Sir Wil-
fred Laurier University who
will benefit froth a university
education and shows • some
financial need.

and do something for the
youth of Seaforth," Mr. Hin-
ton explained. Joan Sills
accepted the award for Miss
Branderhorst who was un-
able to attend because of a
family wedding. Horace
Brandon, a liaison officer
with VVLU also took part in
the preseritation.
Seaforth resident Kate
Teall presented the James R.
Scott Communications A-
ward of 5100 in memory of
her father to Grade 12 stu-
dent Paul Ellis. Mr. Scott, a
writer. kacher and historian
was also an SCI alumnus.
Paul was cited for his excel-
lence in communications
through his writing and pho-
tography in the local paper.
Speaking 'for the 1980
graduates were Denise Lane
for Grade 12 and Jayne
-Baker for Grade 13. Both
were chosen by a vote of
fellow students.
