Visiting Qliverand Charlie
McKay, .G.A. Whitney. '
On Sunday, a fresjk,
bouquet of salmon pink roses
'appeared on our table in the
activity room. Jean Durst
had been in again to refresh
our -lading -flowers -and --keep- -
our spirits high.
Again they had tiny, White
buttons to give the roses
some Variety. The tail rose of
summer is not. yet. We'll be
looking for more.
. The beautiful . coloured
!elves outside our windows
will brighten our days. I hope
my readers will keep their
eye on Church Street to see,
its autumn colour, and in
other parts of the town. The
view is free to all admirers.
Absorb it's beauty.
Birthday Greetings. to
Ruby. Anderson, who
celebrated Sept. 15.
When Jean Smale came in
Sunday evening to visit here
mother, Mrs. Bessie Smote,
she Stopped suddenly at the
street end of our sidewalk
Ansi said to_herself. _"This
isn't blossom time". as she
saw what appeared to be
blossom petals.
What can they be she
questioned and came•to our
room for an explanation. Tat
was simple, as a wedding
party of eight called to see
Grandma Maude Baird.That
bride was Patty Stanleyand.
the groom was . • Ron
Blanchard.
, The "petals" that Jean
.questioned was confetti
showered upon tbe
newlyweds. The bride is the
great granddaughter of
Maude, a resident here. A

attendance.
This is the second time
that , a wedding party has
visited Mrs. Baird.
On Tuesday, I had a brief
Visit with Margaret Snell.
She and Helmer were on
their way back to their
cottage near Wianon after
celebrating their golden.
wedding anniverdary.
I was thrilled to -receive a
generous bouquet of their
yellow „roses for this happy
anniversary.,
I'm sure bestwishes from
the whole town will follow
these popular former re-
sidents of Seaforth where
they still retain their home on
Ord • Street, and come here
for the winter months.
Isabel„,,Lamble "came by
wheel chat; wheeled over by
her attendant Lynda Jardine
R.N.A. of the Whet Staff,
from the "Manor" and
visited her friend Anna
Hoegy.
