ston died on Saturday last, Mr. Anil

Brncefield on Sunday next. Rev. U H.

pleased to show strangers to seats.
Those who bad the pleaitnre ot listen-

pleased to hear him again. Mr. Stoat is
now pastor of the Sherbrook Baptist
Church but will preaoh in the Wingham
pulpit next Sabbath. Come and hear
one of the Western orators.
The second service for yonrg men in
the winter series at St. Paul's church
will he held next Sunday night, when
the Rector will preaen on "Life's En-
vironment " Mr. Boyle is always at his
best in sermons to young men, and this
special course promises to be very good.
The Clinton New Era in 'speaking of
Rev. E. R Fitch of this town, who re-
cently preached anniversary sermons in
that town, says: -"Rev. Mr. Fitch, of
Wingham, who is an able speaker al -
way i, was at its best, and the congrega-
tions heard him with delight. Wing.
ham is fortunate in having a young man
of such marked ability, and we predict
for him a field of mach greater influence
in the future: he is too strong and stirr-
ing a personality to be allowed to remain
in a relatively small place. Financially,
the results were not quite up to the
mark, but wh-n the returns are all in,
this will no doubt be remedied."
WALTON.
It is stated that Postmaster Neal and
his good lady may take a rest from the
more active management of the store
business here after the New Year by
passing it over to their son, W, G., who
has grown up behind the counter and is
well and favorably known.
John W. Morrison goes to Milverton
where he takes a position in Mr. Beattie's
office who is in charge of the track lay-
ing on the new railway. Mr. Morrison
has had considerable experience in rail-
road work during the past year and ap.
pears to have a special antitnde for it
and he should climb the ladder.

STARVED BY ANAEMIA,
Health Ratorbd by the Rich BIM,
De. Williams" Pink Pills Aetna ly
Make
Thousands and thousands of young"
girls throughout Canada are literally
passing into hopeless decline for the
want of the new rich red blood eo
abundantly supplied by Dr Williams'
Pink Pills, They are distressingly
weak, pale or sallow, appetite fickle,
etib7+aot.-to headaches, dizain sa, are
breathless and the heart palpitates
violently at the least exertion. The
doctors call tine anaemia--whioh is the
medical name for bloodlessness. Dr.
Williams' Pink ?ilia aetually make new
blood -they cure anaemia just as sorely
as food cares hanger. Here is a bit of
rhe strongest kind of evidence: "Dr.
Williams' Ptak Pills and nothiug else
saved my two daughters when doctors
had failed to keep 'them " Tide state-
ment is made by Mrs. Joseph Martel,
St. Oliver street, Quebec, She adds:
"My daughters are aged respectively
twenty-two and twenty•three years.
Por two years they spffeted from the
weakness and distress of anaemia, and
had I iearned of Dr. Williams Pi:ik Pills
earlier, it would not ouly have saved me
money, but muoh worry and anxiety as
well. Both girls were as pale as a sheet.
They entered from headaches, poor ap.
Petite, and grew so feeble that they could
hardly go about. They were Hader a
doctor's care, but did not improve a bit.
I diepaired of ever seeing them in good
health again, when a friend called my_
j attention to Dr. Williams' Pink Pills.
Soon after they began the pills there was
an improvement in their s,ondition and
in less than a couple of months they
were again enjoying good health, active,
robust girls, I am so gratefal for what
Dr. Williams' Pink fills have done for
my children that I strongly recommend
them to every mother who has a weak,
pale faced boy or,giri "
Dr. Williams' Pink Pills do ouly one
thing; but they do it well -They actu-
ally snake new, rioh blood. They don't
tinker with symptoms, They simply
change badblood into good blood and
thus strike straight at the root of such
common ailments as headaches side -
aches and backaches, indigestion, an.
aerate, nervous exhaustion, neuralgia,
St. Vitus dance, partial paralysis, and
the speoisl, painful secret ailments of,
growing girls and women. Sold by all
medicine dealers or by mall at 50 cents a
box or six hoxee for $2,50 from the Dr,
Williams' Medicine Co . Brookville Ont
brothers have not met/for quite a numb-
er of years,, We wish Mr Macdonald a
pleasant time.
Wm Flogg is home from Aberdeen,
British Columbia, on a visit to bis wife
and family. He is connected with large
timber interests there.
Mr Lorne Eckmier purposes going to
Gaderich in a week or so to learn the
trade of printing In the office of the
Signal. He is learning his trade in a
good office and we wish 'him the success
vehioh we believe will be his.
Now that the long evenings are again
with us we thins* it t 'ould be a good
idea to reorganize our literary society
and debating club. Let ns get busy.
Mr. Sti..sen, painter, of Gorrie is
putting the finishing touches in his line
on the house of Mr. S. Snell. The house
has a very creditable appearance and we
wish him, his wife and family many
years of happiness in connection with it.
Mr. John McAllister conducted the
service in Victoria hall last Sunday
evening Mr. B F. Carr, of Wroxeter
has charge of the service for next Sunday
evening
Mr. Geo. Combas, wife and family
moved to their store at Molesworth this
week. They will be missed.
Wm Backe has gone to learn the bak-
ing business with Mr Ballantyne of
Brussels. We wish him success.
We are sorry to state that Mrs Jas.
Coombes, sr, is suffering from a stroke
of paralysis. We hope soon to hear of
her improved condition.

iting at the home of her parents, Mr and

LIVe Stook Markets.
Toronto, Nov. 14. -The run at the
City Cattle Market to -day was 73 loads,
with 970 head of cattle, 1.860 sheep and
Iambs; 60 hogs. and 81 calves.
With tile light run to -day the market
wrs firmer in tone and basinoss was
brisk. There appears to be a steadily
growing demand for good butcher cat-
tle, the number of cattle in this class,
of fair to good quality, being limited
and far from enough to supply the con-
stant demand. One result of the short-
age of good to choice butcher cattle is
noticeable in the fact that the whole-
sale butchers are buying np the fattest
and best of the season's run of regular
feeder cattle for immediate killing. On
this account the usual buyers of feeders
