Five applicants were inter- viewed for the position, and the ooramittee recommended that Joseph Nigh of Louisa Street, Seaforth. be hired for the job. Council accepted the re- cntrimendation. Mr. Nigh's starting salary will be S5.17 hourly. Following a success- ful three month probation. he. will be eligible for promatian to a level one operator. and a salary of S5.38 hourly. The club name was dis- cussed and decided it be left till next meeting. We dis- cussed the Chinese techni- que of stir frying, its uses and how it is done, we learned about the wok and some alternatives and the chopping and cooking of food. Dorothy Airdrie is ninnertup with 181. The high triple is held by Reino Wilts with 601 the runner-up is Mrs. Overboe with 599.. Nancy Wallace has im- proved her high single and now has 252. Mrs. Overhoe is also the runner-up with 248. Roxy Maize had the most improved score plu s 21 Nancy Wallace has a'plus 18. Hidden scores were won by Reino Wilts and Nancy Fothergill. Lunch was served by Ham Wood and Ida Marlin All went to the kitchen where Chinese style pork _ was made and liked by all.
